Big Projects - Behind the Scenes

  1. Scalability Improvements: Ensured that the service can handle large forms and substantial amounts of data efficiently, preparing it for increased usage and features.
  2. Decommissioning Restrictive Software: Identified and removed restrictive software that was causing synchronization issues between systems and applications. This step improves overall system stability and performance.
  3. Refactoring Form Instances: Made changes to how form instances are uploaded to the server, optimizing the process for speed and reliability. Refactoring involves restructuring the codebase to improve maintainability and performance without changing its external behavior.

These efforts demonstrate a proactive approach to improving your service's performance, reliability, and readiness for future developments such as the new mobile application.


Features

  1. Settings Page Update - we are separating the overall company settings and mobile settings - See the changes here and new Mobile App Settings here. NOTE: you will not see the new Mobile App Tab until one of your company representatives attends the Mobile 2.0 webinar training session in the upcoming months.
  2. Safety Permission - new safety permission allows better internal responsibility system tracking by selecting the users who can sign as the Safety Representative on forms and documents NOTE: this affects the web application and Mobile 2.0. We have currently turned the permission on for all users and a web admin can easily make changes via the user page individually or by mass edit users
  3. Past Expiry Date Selection: Web admins can now choose an expiry date from the past when uploading documents.
  4. File Size Limit: Implemented a file size limit for uploading documents and training records to ensure efficient data management.
  5. Document Name Link: Clicking on a document name in the library now redirects to the document details page, enhancing user experience.
  6. Email Notifications for Corrective Actions: Web admins now receive email notifications containing corrective actions created since the last reporting period, facilitating timely management.
  7. Filtering by Corrective Action Resolved Date: Added the ability for web admins to filter corrective actions by resolved date, aiding in tracking and management.
  8. Improved Long Content Visibility: Users, both web admins, and regular employees, can now view all lengthy content entered in text fields at a glance, enhancing usability.
  9. Chronological Form Signatures: Additional form signatures are now displayed in chronological order, preventing confusion and ensuring the visibility of all signatures.
  10. Database Performance Enhancement: Addressed performance issues related to forms to optimize database performance and improve overall system efficiency.
  11. Alphanumeric Sorting in Document Library: Web admins can now sort documents alphanumerically in the Document Library, making it easier to find and manage files.

These updates aim to enhance usability, improve performance, and provide better management capabilities for web admins and users alike.


Bugs

  1. Error Message on Document Upload: Resolved an issue where web admins encountered an error message when trying to upload a document.
  2. Email Notification Settings: Fixed a bug where users continued to receive email notifications despite their company's email notification settings being turned off.
  3. Filtering Forms Issue: Fixed an issue where web admins couldn't find a form they submitted today while filtering forms by title.
  4. Slow Loading of Forms Page: Addressed performance issues causing the forms page to take too long to load and sometimes timing out for users with many forms.
  5. Duplicate Form Tags: Resolved an issue where the same form tag was attached twice to a form for web admins.
  6. Mismatch in Form Tag Counts: Fixed discrepancies between the count of forms under form tags and the count displayed on the filled-out form page for web admins.
  7. Error Validation Pop-up on Form Sorting: Fixed an issue where users encountered an error validation pop-up when sorting forms by "status" and exporting them.
  8. Incorrectly Displayed Corrective Action Status: Corrected an issue where corrective actions were incorrectly shown as resolved in filled-out forms for web admins.
  9. Inactive Save Button on User Profile Page: Fixed an issue where regular users couldn't save updated general information on the user profile page due to the inactive Save button.
  10. Incorrect Data Displayed in Form Exporter: Resolved an issue where web admins could still view forms submitted under a cleaned-up company's data in the Form Exporter.
  11. Archived Word File Opening Issue: Fixed an issue where web admins couldn't open archived Word files in Microsoft Word.
  12. Improper Ordering of Form Template Sections: Corrected the ordering of form template sections in preview mode.
  13. Mismatch in Assigned Document Counts: Fixed inconsistencies between the count of assigned documents on the group listing and under the documents tab of the same group for web admins.
  14. Filtering User List Issue: Fixed an issue where web admins couldn't filter the user list by first and last name with a space in between while attaching users to training records.
  15. Blank Page Issue from Email Links: Fixed an issue where users landed on a blank page when clicking on links in the "1Life: Items Assigned" email.
  16. Training Record Counts Mismatch: Addressed inconsistencies between counts displayed on training record cards and results in the training record library page.

These fixes aim to improve user experience, data accuracy, and system functionality across various aspects of the platform.


Contractor Updates

Here are the updates for the Prime Contractor role:

  1. Trade Type as Subcontractor Group: Implemented Trade Type as Subcontractor Group for Prime Contractors, allowing for better categorization and organization of subcontractors.
  2. Icon Buttons on Landing Page: Replaced named buttons with icons, similar to the design in CHT, on the landing page for improved visual appeal and consistency.
  3. Bug Fixes for Uploading Multiple Contractors: Addressed bugs to ensure smooth uploading of multiple contractors for Prime Contractors. Also, fixed issues related to email notifications not being sent to subcontractors when items are expiring.
  4. Error Handling for Long Descriptions or Names: Fixed errors encountered by Prime Contractors when editing or creating groups in Subcontractors Shared Documents, particularly when the description or name exceeded certain lengths.

These updates aim to streamline processes, enhance user experience, and improve the functionality of the platform for Contractors.
