How to Complete a Corrective Action

To complete and resolve a corrective action follow these steps:


Determine if Corrective or Follow-Up Action is Required:

Locate the question “Is corrective or follow up action required?”

Select either the blue checkmark (✓) for yes or the “NA” button if no action is required.

Provide an Optional Answer:

If necessary, fill in the “Optional answer” field with any additional comments or explanations.

Assign the Corrective Action:

Locate the "Assigned to" field.

Click on the field and select the appropriate individual from the list.


Set the Severity:

Find the "Severity" dropdown menu.

Click on it and choose the level of severity associated with the hazard or near-miss incident.


Determine the Probability:

Locate the "Probability" dropdown menu.

Click on it and select the likelihood of the hazard or incident occurring.


Evaluate the Frequency:

Find the "Frequency" dropdown menu.

Click on it and select how often the hazard or incident is likely to happen.


Provide Additional Details (if necessary):

Use the "Notes" section to add any additional information or context regarding the corrective action.

You can also attach images or files to support your documentation by clicking on the respective icons.


Resolve or Mark as Unresolved:

If the corrective action has been addressed and resolved, click the green "RESOLVED" button.

If the corrective action is still pending, click the gray "UNRESOLVED" button.


Save the Corrective Action:

Once all necessary information is filled out and the status is selected, click the blue "SAVE" button to save the corrective action.


Optional Actions:

If you need to assign the corrective action to someone else, click the "ASSIGN" button.

If you need to sign off on the corrective action, click the "SIGN" button.


Following these steps will ensure that the corrective action is properly documented and either resolved or marked for further attention.
