Release Notes - March 17, 2024
We are excited to introduce several new features and enhancements in our latest release aimed at improving the user experience and increasing efficiency. Below is a summary of the key changes:
- Mobile App Change
As we are moving towards the new 1Life mobile application and upgrading the services, and in consideration that we have many users who are not running a current version of the mobile application, we have temporarily removed access to the Archives on the mobile application.
Description: This feature aims to optimize the user experience by preventing synchronization fails on the mobile application. The archives view on the mobile app will show no content upon accessing the archives section. Users' will still be able to access all the past content on the web application.
- Contractor Feature
Feature Description: As a Prime Contractor, ensuring that at least one trade type is created before adding multiple contractors is essential for efficient management. This feature ensures that the 'Add Multiple Contractor' button remains disabled until a trade type is created, thereby guiding users to set up necessary trade types beforehand.
Enhancement Details:
Addition of Dependency Check:
- The 'Add Multiple Contractor' button will remain disabled by default upon accessing the contractor management section.
Activation Condition:
- The button becomes enabled only when at least one trade type has been created within the system.
User Guidance:
- Clear instructions will be provided to guide Prime Contractors on the necessity of creating trade types before proceeding to add multiple contractors.
Enhanced User Experience:
- By enforcing this dependency check, Prime Contractors are encouraged to organize their contractor data effectively from the outset, leading to a smoother workflow and improved data management.
Implementation Note: This feature will be implemented in the frontend interface, with validation logic integrated into the backend system to ensure seamless interaction between user actions and system responses.
- Choose Expiry Date from the Past:
- As a Web Admin uploading documents, you now have the flexibility to choose an expiry date from the past. This feature allows for more accurate record-keeping and ensures that documents are appropriately managed, even if their expiry dates precede the current date.
- Email Notifications for Prime Contractors:
- Prime Contractors will now receive email notifications again. This reinstatement of email notifications ensures that Prime Contractors stay informed about important updates and events within the system, facilitating smoother communication and collaboration.
